Library
The West Tokyo JALT library is a collection of textbooks (and in the future other resources) donated to our chapter by publishers and distributors. It is hoped that it will assist teachers and those in charge of choosing textbooks to find the most suitable books for their students. Members of West Tokyo JALT who would like to see the texts or pilot lessons using them are welcome to borrow anything on the list.

Policies

Fees: Borrowing is free. The borrower must pay for the shipping both from and to the West Tokyo JALT office. The least expensive means by Japan Post will be used. Alternatively, the borrowed can pick up and return texts at West Tokyo JALT meetings. The fee can be simply returned in coins in the return package.

Timeframe: It is requested that materials be returned within a month of their receipt.

Damage: We do not expect materials to be returned without standard wear and tear. If there is greater damage to the materials, please let us know before returning them. Replacement will rarely be requested for textbooks.

Reviews: Each person who borrows a material is expected to write comments on the comment sheet included. Your comments should describe what type of class you were considering the book for and if you think it was suitable or not. These are to help others with their decisions. Comment sheets may differ slightly for other materials.

Copies: The library's materials are not meant for photocopying for classroom usage. Copyrights by the publishers do apply. These are only for your review or for usage in a limited capacity in piloting the textbooks.
Procedures: Sent an e-mail to specifying which material(s) you wish to borrow. We will let you know of their availability. If the availability is acceptable, the materials will be posted or passed on as soon as possible.
